Pre-Chiropractic
The University offers three Pre-Chiropractic Programs to students who wish to complete the prerequisites for the Doctor of Chiropractic Program. These programs fulfill prerequisites for all Chiropractic Colleges in the U.S. and Canada, including the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic.
Science Requirements
- Anatomy & Physiology 113, 114 - 8 Semester Credits
- General Chemistry 103, 104 - 8 Semester Credits
- Organic Chemistry 205, 206 - 8 Semester Credits
- General Physics 201, 202 - 8 Semester Credits
Pre-Chiropractic Specialty
Students may declare any major within the College of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies and complete the pre- requisites for the Doctor of Chiropractic Program by declaring a Pre-chiropractic specialty in addition to the major of their choice.
Following completion of their four-year degree and all prerequisites, a student may be eligible for entrance into the Doctor of Chiropractic Program.
Pre-Chiropractic/Bachelor's Degree Program
The University of Bridgeport College of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies offers a seven-year coordinate Program leading to a combined Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Students enrolled in the program complete three years (ninety credits) of undergraduate coursework, including all required core courses in the University of Bridgeport curriculum. Students who successfully complete their first three years at the University of Bridgeport, and who comply with the requirements for admission to the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic described below may be granted admission into the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. To be accepted for the Doctor of Chiropractic Degree Program at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic, the student must:
- Maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.50 with a minimum grade of "C" in all undergraduate courses required by the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. Students in this program who complete the requirements for admission into the College of Chiropractic with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and a grade of "B" or better in each of the science prerequisites will be granted preferred status for admission into the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic for the entry date of their choice.
- Schedule a meeting with the Director of Admissions of the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic immediately upon matriculation at the University of Bridgeport, indicating intent to continue into the Doctor of Chiropractic Program upon completion of prerequisite undergraduate study. Pre-chiropractic advisement will be coordinated with the student's undergraduate advisor.

Submit an application for admission to the Director of Admissions of the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic prior to registering for the fifth semester of pre-chiropractic study at the University of Bridgeport.

Successfully complete a personal interview with members of the Admissions Committee of the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic during the final semester of pre-chiropractic study.
