Neuroscience I

This course focuses on the general anatomy  of the central nervous system, with special emphasis on somatic sensory and motor function. The events involved in nervous and synaptic transmission are analyzed in detail. Case presentations are given to emphasize the correlation of structure to function and its contrast to neuroscience. Prerequisites AN511, AN512, AN514.

Neuroscience II
This course is a continuation of NS521 and will begin to emphasize the neuroscience of clinical case-based problems. The sensory and motor systems are examined in detail. An emphasis is placed on the correlation of anatomical structure to physiological function and to contrast this to clinical problems. Prerequisite: NS521, PP524, PH521, AN525.
