How much does it cost?

What do we offer freshmen and new students?
The Counseling Services offers a private and confidential atmosphere for students to talk about their personal worries and concerns about college life or life in general. Often entering students have worked so hard getting into college that they hardly have time to think about what it actually will be like once they get there. The first few weeks might feel "weird," lonely, and overwhelming. Stopping in to see a counselor, one, two or three times, can help a student figure out what's going on, make better decisions and gain greater confidence in both their academic performance and personal life. Students work collaboratively with a counselor deciding which type of counseling works best for them, individual, group or couples counseling and how many times they want to see the counselor.

How can you learn more about wellness and the college student?
Educational workshops, are offered in the residences and on campus to help students deal effectively and responsibly with the stresses of everyday college life. Students can learn about and can get help with, a variety of issues ranging from relaxation to drug and alcohol, eating problems, relationship issues, the freshmen experience, depression, anxiety and disability needs and services.

How do we handle emergencies?
During office hours emergencies are handled immediately. In case of an evening or weekend crisis; if you live on campus, call extension 4911 and the counselor will be notified. If you live off campus, call 911. Please call the counselor, as soon as possible, during office hours, to let us know how we can help.
