Course Descriptions

Naturopathic medicine is a four-year graduate degree, which requires study in conventional medical sciences as well as naturopathic specializations. Naturopathic medical students study the same science courses offered in conventional medical colleges (anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology, cardiology, radiology, obstetrics, pediatrics, physiology, pathology, immunology, dermatology, neurology, minor surgery, gynecology, lab diagnosis, clinical and physical diagnosis).

Naturopathic medical students also study clinical nutrition, homeopathic medicine, botanical medicine, physical medicine (manipulation of spine, muscles and bones), natural childbirth, oriental medicine, counseling and stress management and minor surgery (repair of superficial wounds, removal of foreign bodies, cysts and other superficial masses with local anesthesia).
