Residency Programs

There are currently two post-doctoral residency positions at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. Both are  accredited by the Council  for Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME).

One of them, an Integrative Medicine Program, cooperates with Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. UBCNM/Griffin's third resident, Dr. Marina Yanover divides her time equally between the two sites. Her responsibilities are:

  • At UB, she supervises students in their clinical training during teaching shifts and coordinates daily functioning of the health center operations.

  • At Griffin Hospital, she co-treats patients alongside allopathic residents at the Integrative Medicine Center (IMC), she functions as a research assistant to Dr. David Katz, MD, MPH at the Yale/Griffin Prevention Research Center, and finally she rotates through the major specialties alongside internal medicine/preventive medicine residents.

The other residency position, is entirely devoted to naturopathic medicine. The current resident, Dr. Kristina Conner, supervises students in their clinical training. She divides her time between the University of Bridgeport's Naturopathic Medical Clinic and off-site sattelite clinics.

If you are interested in applying for either the UB/Griffin residency in integrative medicine or the UB residency in naturopathic medicine, you should request a residency application package from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR, (503.499.4343) as the positions are accredited by the CNME as NCNM off-site residencies.

Inquiries for both programs can be directed to our Residency Coordinator Dr. Margot Longenecker at 203.576.4299.
