Using Library Resources
The Wahlstrom Library provides access to many digital resources, including Eureka!. Other resources include individual databases and electronic journals and books. Some examples of our databases include Ebrary, a collection of more than 35,000 full-text electronic books and databases such as Science Direct, Cochrane Library, Natural Standard, and PubMed.
PubMed
PubMed is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine that includes over 17 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles. PubMed includes links to full-text articles and other related resources. For full-text access, go the Library homepage. Look for the purple UBSFX link at the bottom of the article page to check if the Library has full text of the article. If not, place a request through inter-library loan (ILL).
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan (IIL) obtains books, articles, and other materials not owned by the Library from other institutions for current members of the UB community. It is only available to faculty, staff, and students of the University of Bridgeport for course-related or other research purposes. The borrower is responsible for any fees, fines, or damages assessed by the lending library.
For instructions and an online form for obtaining a book or a journal article not available at the Library, go to www.bridgeport.edu/pages/5086.asp.
