About ELI

Mission Statement

The English Language Institute (ELI) sees its primary mission as promoting exchange and understanding among people of all nations by helping them to improve their knowledge of the English language as an international medium of communication.

History

ELI has offered an intensive English program since 1992. Most ELI students continue on in undergraduate or graduate degree programs at the University of Bridgeport. Some students transfer to other universities in the U.S., return to their home country to pursue educational programs, or return to jobs overseas or in this country.

Special programs and classes can be arranged for groups of 10 or more.
