Extracurricular Activities
Indian Student Association
This club's members are dedicated to creating an atmosphere on campus that is desirable to all UB students in general, as well as to Indian students, in particular. Open to both Indian students and non-Indians, the club educates students about Indian life and culture and promotes social, political, and academic unity for all.
Japanese Student Association
Students of any background are welcome to join the Japanese Student Association, which promotes understanding of the Japanese culture, as well as academic harmony and unity on campus.
Keepers of the Brotherhood
Open to all UB students, the mission of this club is to enhance and unify the lives of Black and Latino students in order to promote multiculturalism and love on the UB campus. Events hosted in the past include poetry slams, Black history seminars, academic conferences, parties, soul food festivals, fashion shows, and African Film festivals.
Korean Student Association
Students of all backgrounds are welcome to join this club, which provides a setting for Korean culture and activities.
Latin American Club
Open to Latin-American students as well as students of other backgrounds, this club promotes and shares the Latin culture with its members as well as the larger UB community. Past events have included a Latin Culture Night, Inferno and Caliente parties, and a Latin rock band.
Muslim Student Association
Open to all UB students, the Muslim Student Association seeks to learn and grow in their religion, while eliminating barriers between Muslims and others by informing them about Islam. In past semesters, the club has hosted Eid celebrations, trips to mosques, and a series of lectures.
African Club
Open to both African and non-African students, the African Club seeks to showcase a variety of African cultural, social, political, and economic issues. The African Club's annual Afroganza Celebration is always a popular event at UB.
Black Student Alliance
Open to both Black students and students of other backgrounds, the Black Student Alliance unifies it members and strives to heighten awareness of the social and cultural issues that Black students encounter.
Chinese Student Association
Open to students of all backgrounds, the Chinese Student Association promotes cultural, intellectual, and social activities for individuals interested in the Chinese culture, in helping Chinese individuals adapt to American culture, in defending the rights of Chinese individuals, and in exchanging information with other groups on campus.
Himalayan Club
Open to students of all backgrounds, the Himalayan Club strives to develop awareness in UB students about the culture and values of the Himalayan culture. Past club activities have included a South Asian Film Festival, a visit to a Hindu Temple, a ski trip, and Himalayan Night.
