Full Time Faculty Payroll
The Office of Human Resources enters all new employees into the Datatel system and forwards pertinent information (tax forms, benefit applications etc.) on to the Payroll Office.
Faculty is paid on a semi-monthly basis - fifteenth and last day of the month. In the event that this falls on a weekend or University holiday, payday is the last workday preceding the fifteenth or last day.
Checks/advices are usually picked up in bulk by a member of a college, building, department etc. for individual distribution. They are available for pickup at 11:45 AM.
Faculty members with nine, ten or eleven month contracts may elect to receive payment over twelve months. Contact the Payroll Office and complete an “Authorization for Twenty-Four Payment Option” form. This must be completed at least two weeks prior to receipt of your FIRST check. You are required to complete a new form each year.
Direct deposit is available to full-time faculty on the semi-monthly payroll. Contact the Payroll Office for the appropriate form if you wish to use direct deposit. You will receive a direct deposit advice on payday. Payment for Summer Sessions is by check only. Checks are released on scheduled Summer paydays only if the Registrar has received your grades.
If you have any questions, please call the Payroll Office; we will be happy to help.
Adjunct Faculty Payroll
The Office of Human Resources enters all new adjunct faculty members into the Datatel system and forwards pertinent information (tax form etc.) on to the Payroll Office.
In general, payment is twice a semester, the first payment is scheduled approximately one week after mid-semester grades are due, the final payment is scheduled for the first week in January for Fall semester classes and the week after Graduation for the Spring semester. Checks are released and mailed directly to adjunct faculty on the payday scheduled at mid-semester. Final checks are mailed on the payday scheduled contingent on the receipt of your grades by the Registrar.
Payment to adjunct faculty associated with the IDEAL, Nutrition, Weekend and other non-traditional programs/classes is scheduled based on the end date of the program/class.
If you have any questions, please call the Payroll Office; we will be happy to help.
