Special Projects
The Department of Special Projects reports to the Vice President for Administration and Finance and carries out his directives in the following areas.
- Supervision of rented facilities that the University provides to employees and to non-University entities.
- Space allocation and campus planning.
- Assist with off-campus housing arrangements for students.
- Develop and administer summer conference clients to utilize available UB facilities and services.
- Assist with the research, initial communication, and on campus coordination of various contractors providing support services to UB.
Representatives of the Special Projects Department serve on the Facilities Master Plan Committee, Budget Review Committee, Residential Life Advisory Committee and other committees at the discretion of the Vice President. The Department interacts with the general public in regard to property development and represents the University at various public forums including the South End Neighborhood Council. The Department also partners with the Director of Facilities Planning on renovation projects and serves in a myriad of areas at the direction of the Vice President.
