On-Campus Jobs

Everything you need to know about getting a job on campus, and the policies and forms you need to have once you are hired!

**NEW for Fall 2008  All students must be pre authorized for employment on-campus. **

Students will complete an On Campus Work Authorization Form, which is also available in the Financial Aid Office and the Career Services Center.  The forms will be reviewed to ensure the student is in compliance with all policies regarding eligibility to work on campus, such as registration requirements, minimum GPA/satisfactory academic progress, balance compliance, Federal Work Study eligibility, etc.  If the On Campus Work Authorization Form is not approved, the student will receive a detailed list of reasons for denial and what, if anything, they can do to gain authorization.

Feel free to download the On Campus Work Authorization Form fill it out, save it and email it to careercenter@bridgeport.edu, acologne@bridgeport.edu or eclancy@bridgeport.edu. It will be processed and ready for pickup within 24-48 hours.

UBjobnet On-line Registration- uploading your resume
This on-line registration is the start of your application for employment on-campus. Think of your resume as the first step in your job application. You must update your profile on UBjobnet once a semester to make sure you keep receiving updates from the Career Services Center!

Review the on-campus position listings on UBjobnet
Available positions will be listed on UBjobnet. You may limit your search criteria to look at only on-campus listings. Please review the requirements for the position and make sure you meet the qualifications. Check out the How to apply section to find out how to submit your resume and remember that most positions will require an interview.  Be sure to check both the on-campus interviewing section and the jobs section of the site.  Not all available positions are listed.  Students are encouraged to talk with departments as well about potential openings.

*Federal Work Study jobs - only those students who have Federal Work Study as part of their Financial Aid package may apply for Federal Work Study jobs.

Once you receive an offer of employment, immediately report to Career Services to complete the appropriate paperwork. The job offer is contingent on the re-verification of your eligibility to work on-campus and the completion of this paperwork with-in three (3) days of the job offer. It is adviseable that you review a list of the paperwork required.
