Facilities Planning & Construction
The Department of Facilities Planning & Construction (FPC) reports to the Associate Vice President of Facilities and Safety and carries out his directives.
- FPC manages the Capitol Improvement Program and develops project budgets together with architects, engineers, the Director of Facilities Maintenance and the Facilities Planning Committee.
- FPC works with consulting and design firms to assure that the University’s needs are addressed and the projects are developed within the scope of the projects and budget.
- FPC directs the project development process to insure that projects are designed and developed in accordance with the Campus Master Plan, design and construction guidelines.
- FPC is responsible for the construction phase of all capitol projects including CHEFA, working and consulting with the Facilities Maintenance Department, local agencies, designers contractors and banks, to provide well built facilities while minimizing inconvenience and disruption to the University Community.
The Director of Facilities Planning & Construction serves on the Facilities Planning Committee, facilities maintenance meetings and any other committees at the discretion of the VPAF.
