Off Campus Housing

Welcome to the University of Bridgeport’s Off-Campus Housing Website!

At the University of Bridgeport all full-time matriculating students with fewer than ninety (90) credits, who live more than fifty (50) miles from campus, and are under twenty one years of age are required to live on campus. However, some upper class students and graduate students choose to live off campus in the surrounding community.

The Off Campus Housing Website was established to serve the needs of students who choose to live off campus. It was designed to assist you in making decisions about living off campus, and to enable you to develop a housing search strategy. It contains information on how to go about finding suitable housing, what rights you have as a tenant, and where to get help if you have any questions.

Where to Find Housing

There are several ways to find rental housing in the Bridgeport and surrounding communities. We have provided ways to obtain some of that information below including local newspapers, campus bulletin boards, local realtors and internet bulletin boards. You may need to consult a map to determine how far each community is from Bridgeport. There are many maps available on the internet. You may want to try www.maps.google.com or www.mapquest.com

This information is provided as a service to the community. The University of Bridgeport makes no representations about the condition of any property found through these sites, has no role in any transaction involving these properties, and in no way endorses any of the properties found through these venues.
